You don't need a laptop, hand tuner, or any software with these units, which are fully configured upon arrival! However, if you prefer to customize, the controllers are programmable using speed, load, and rpm variables. Each kit allows you to adjust shift points and firmness, as well as torque converter lockup, with simple dials on the module.
