Turbo Boost Controllers & Gauges from Go Fast Bits

A boost controller functions as a device that reduces the pressure that reaches the actuator. This essentially places a ‘controlled leak’ into the supply hose and signals to the wastegate actuator that less boost is being sent. This, in turn, makes the wastegate open less, and hence, more exhaust gas flows through the turbo. This results in increased boost.

In general, it’s safe to increase the boost level in a turbo by about 10 to 20 percent without changing out other parts and systems like the fuel delivery system, the ignition timing, and the intercooler.
