MLS gaskets areideal for both aluminiumheads to aluminium blocks andaluminium heads to cast ironblocks. They can withstandthe shearing force created bythe two materials. MLSgaskets have increasedstrength because they arecomprised of multiple layersof stainless steel; whichalso creates the ability torebound and resist corrosion.The outer layers are embossedand coated on both sides withViton (a flouroelastomerrubber based material that isheat resistant to 250 C/482 F). Viton isdesigned to meet the demandsof a variety of harsh sealingenvironments, loadconditions, and surfacefinishes.
