The O ringseals use the standardretainer and oil splashshield. The umbrella seal isnormally used when a largerthan stock diameter spring isused, and in the case of adouble spring, the positivetop Teflon seal is used.Smaller diameter Viton sealsare also available for triplespring applications. Both theO ring and the umbrella sealsrequire no machining , butwith the Teflon seal it isnecessary to disassemble theheads and machine the top ofthe guide with a specialcutter.
