Designed forhard core racing, the DartIron Eagle Ford blockaddresses all the weakness offactory castings. Dart blocksare cast from premium, highstrength iron with extrathick cylinder walls anddecks. The main webs arebeefed up and fitted withsteel 4 bolt main caps forsuperior durability. EveryDart block is individuallyqualified to ensure maximumthickness where you need itmost, every time. Dart blocksare fully CNC machined andvirtually ready to assemblewith off the shelfcomponents.
Features:- Siamesedcylinders: Standard4.000" or 4.125"cylinders can be safely boredto 4.165" diameter.Ductile iron sleeves andextra thick walls preventcracking and produceexcellent ring seal.
- Multiple deck heights allowfor increased displacementsof up to 468 cubic inches.
- Scalloped outerwater jacket walls improvecoolant flow around thecylinder barrels to preventdetonation, extend enginelife and produce consistentcylinder temperatures.
- 4 bolt billet steel maincaps. Three center caps havesplayed outer bolts for extrastrength; rear cap usesstandard one piece seal.
- Two main bearingdiameters 302 (2.249")or 351C (2.749") allowchoice of small or largejournal camshaft.
- Stock components make Dartblocks a direct replacementfor most production smallblocks. Provisions for stockmotor mounts, accessorydrives, smog pumps, starterbrackets, oil pans and pumps.
- Upgraded oilingsystem has a complete stocktype system plus a lowrestriction priority mainoiling system with front andrear external oil pump feeds.
- Dual crossoversallow oil flow to be meteredwith restrictors for rollerlifter cams and/or rockerroller arms to reduce oilflow and windage.
- Reinforced head bolt bossesare blind tapped to preventleaks and produce accuratetorque readings. Extra thickdecks prevent head gasketleaks.
- Standardcamshaft and camshaft drivecan be used.
