The Eagle ESP H-beamconnecting rods are a2-piece, forged,vacuum-degassed,4340-certified steelconstruction that providesoutstanding strength, whilestill weighing much less thanstock rods. Each rod ismulti-stage heat-treated,X-rayed, sonic-tested,magnafluxed, 100 percentmachined and then shot-peenedto stress-relieve the metal.The rods have precision capalignment sleeves topositively locate each rodcap, silicon bronze bushingsfor floating pin models andare available in strokermodels that allow additionalcam-to-rod clearance forlarge stroke combinations.They come standard with190,000 psi rated ARP 8740and 230,000 psi rated ARP2000 rod bolts
EJ18,EJ20, EJ22, EJ257. Olderdesign used 5/16" bolt (3/8"head) - torque is 28 ftlbswith moly lube. Someclearancing of the case maybe neccessary in someengines.
