They arestress relieved and shotpeened for durability andlongevity. During themachining process, the crankis indexed for correct strokeand all of the rod & mainjournals receive a .125"radius in the corners forincreased strength. Thejournals are then precisionground & micro-polishedto an R.A. of less than 5 andNitrided for superior wearresistance.All of the oilingholes are cross drilled &chamfered for improved oilingto the rods and mains.Counterweights are designedfor easy balancing and do notrequire any machining forblock clearance.
