The FiTech FuelCommand Center Assembly ismounted in your enginecompartment. It can also bemounted anywhere on thevehicle's chassis ifnecessary. The conventionalfuel line that originally wentto your carburettor isconnected to the"IN" port of theFuel Command Center. Asupplied high pressure hose isplumbed from the CommandCenter to the inlet port onyour EFI throttlebody.
Your stockcarburetted fuel pump (or aTBI low pressure EFI pump)feeds low pressure fuel to theFiTech Fuel Command Center'ssump tank.
A reservoirof fuel is in the sump tank atall times so the 340 L/PH pumpinside is submerged in fuel.The sump tank contains a floatthat automatically shuts offthe fuel coming into the SumpTank when the correct fuellevel is reached. At thatpoint the stock pump is deadheading against the FuelCommand Center just like itnormally would against a fuelpressure regulator.
Whenthe engine is running the FuelCommand Center pump supplieshigh pressure (58 PSI) fuel tothe EFI throttle body.
