BustApart Copper is designed to protect pipe threads in OCTG pipeline applications. This new-to-industry design is based on Calcium Sulfonate technology to maximize the amount of solids available in the sealing compound, improving the ability to both maximize pipe thread surface contact while preventing galling or seizures of threads during heavy usage. In addition, the compound is fortified with copper solids to further protect the threads as a sacrificial metal, while the anti-corrosive properties of the Calcium Sulfonate help maintain the luster of the copper present in the grease. BustApart Copper creates a tight seal between connected pipe threads, preventing galling and microscopic welding by delivering a high charge of protective solids between the threads of oil field pipes. It provides exceptional resistance to water washout and is easy to apply as it stays in place by not thinning out due to circumstantial water exposure. This product is environmentally friendly as it contains no antimony, barium, chlorine, phosphorus, zinc or free sulfur.
