Thisextremely stout gear setfeatures new E9310 gears(eight pieces), a new forgedring gear a new forgedplanetary housing, 9310 pins,and new washers and needlebearings. The forged billetoutput shaft offers excellenttorsion memory, which meansyou can twist it, but theyvirtually can't break it --and it's available in long,medium (4 link dragster ) and"shorty" versions.
Other aftermarket companiesonly offer planetary setswith steeper gears, butHughes knows they just don'twork as well as 1.76's withthe torque output of the bigmotors today -- not tomention the hard-hit/softtransition torque convertersand improved tire compounds.
