K&N Air Filter
The K&N 69-7060TS Typhoon cold-air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Nissan Altima models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon cold-air intake which is designed to pull in relatively cooler air and dramatically reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of denser air than the factory air intake. Moreair means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engines RPM range. The cold-air intake system accommodates the factory mass air sensor and transmission vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter comes with a water repellent DryCharger filter wrap to protect the filter from moisture. The air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This cold air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less usingexisting factory mounting points. The tools needed are a screwdriver, a ratchet set and two Allen wrenches. Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards while others areK&N's easy-to-install Typhoon cold air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing delivering a guaranteed power gain. The low-restriction aluminum intake tubes come in a silver powder coat finish.
K&N Air Filter Wrap
The K&N Drycharger is a silicone treated, polyester wrap that is made to cover K&N Air Filters or Personal Watercraft Flame Arrestors. These Drychargers, which are similar to the K&N Prechargers, contain uniform micron sized openings that allow high air flow. Yet, due to the Drychargers silicone treated polyester wrap, the amount of water that reaches the air filter or flame arrestor is limited.
