Overview
A cutting edge thermally conductive grease that is free of zinc oxide, metallic fillers, and silicone. It provides excellent thermal conductivity across a wide operating temperature range. Non-conductive, non-capacitive, and non-corrosive, it is used to improve the thermal conductivity between irregular metal surfaces. It is widely used to improve heat flow between heat sinks and heat generating electronic components such as CPUs, GPUs, and power components.
Zinc oxide, an ingredient found in most thermally conductive compounds, has recently been classified as an environmental pollutant. Such compounds must now be shipped as dangerous goods if the container is larger than 30ml. This is a serious concern for industry and other large volume users. The 8617 is zinc oxide free, so it can be shipped non-regulated in all sizes, and thus is especially suited for high volume users.
