MPI (Max Papis Innovations) was founded in 2009 by legendary race driver Max Papis and his wife Tatiana Fittipaldi Papis. Max and Tatiana share a life-long passion and involvement at the highest forms of racing including Formula 1, Champ Cars, Indy cars, IMSA, Grand-Am, IROC and NASCAR. Based in Mooresville, North Carolina, MPI steering wheels are bred in racing with a precise understanding of performance and safety while taking every aspect of construction and driver needs to heart. Before becoming an MPI product, wheel structures are required to pass rigorous internal quality control tests including a structural torque test and a loaded stress test to simulate the driver's hands on the wheel during a severe impact.
