Each sheet isinspected to insure flatnessso the cylinder head willhave uniform contact acrossthe sealing surface. Inferiorbrands using cheaper materialwill result in a highincidence of"torched" gasketsand heads. After processingSCE copper gaskets areannealed to insure amalleable gasket whichconforms to the matingsurface providing measurablegains in cylinder sealing,evidenced by lower leak downpercentages.
