The heavy duty aluminum 9"Ultra Case is engineered toprovide better lubrication tothe pinion bearings andeasily accept 9.00" orstronger 9.50" gear sets. TheUltra Case incorporates auniquely designed pinionsupport that coalesces withthe case to provide superiorring and pinion life. Fourchrome-moly studs areencapsulated by billet caps,allowing for shorter andstronger studs. The tailbearing is larger thanfactory, which can withstandgreater rpm speeds and issecured by a special retainerplate.
Strange alsooffers a lightweight UltraCase, featuring a taper/ballbearing pinion support. Thisunique 3.812" bore caseincorporates a billetaluminum pinion support thathas been pocket milled forreduced weight and embodies alow friction angular contactpinion ball bearing. The caseand caps have been modifiedto further reduce staticweight. The lightweight Ultracase/pinion support is 1.75lbs. lighter than ourstandard Heavy duty UltraCase/pinion support package.
Both Ultra 9" Casesprovide superior strengththrough encapsulated capstuds, a larger than stocktail bearing, 12 pinionsupport bolts and a uniquecasting design, whichprovides strength andoptimises bearinglubrication. Strange offersthe Ultra Case assemblies inthree different bore sizes.
