The ultra lowfriction guide and seal areself aligning that reduces lowspeed abrasion and wear thatoccurs during side loading andtemperature changes. The large48mm piston is manufacturedfrom billet aluminium, hardanodized, and Teflon coated.The larger piston areaachieves higher dampeningforces with lower internalpressures. A thin Tefloncoated piston band furtherreduces friction whileallowing a straighter portdesign that minimizes changesin fluid direction. The resultis faster frequency responseand lowered hysteresis, whichpermits a more progressivedampening force without thedownside of additional lagthat would normally accompanyit. The extension andcompression oil paths arecompletely sealed from eachother eliminating any crosstalk betweenthem.
