The hardened 4140 chrome moly pinion rides on a system of ball-bearings that deliver a seamless feel in the driver's hand with the confidence of durability and longevity.The steering box housing is CNC machined from 6061-T6511 billet aluminum to be lightweight and extremely strong.
Everything that goes into Strange Drag Race Steering Racks-from the self-lubricating bronze bushings that allow the unit to move and flex smoothly to the dual lip pinion seal and heavy-duty, nylon reinforced neoprene boots that keep debris and moisture at bay-is top quality. Not only are the manufacturing specs very tight but assembly tolerances are exceptionally close.
