Securely mounted betweenthe carburetor and intakemanifold, our Cable ThrottleBracket positions the cablefor optimum, bind-freepull on StrombergTwoStep linkages. Compatiblewith most readily availablehot rod cable throttle kits(eg. Lokar).
A fixinghole is also provided for thesmall extension bracketsupplied with most hot rodauto-trans kickdown cablekits. And a separate side armprovides a mount for atraditional return spring.Again, the 'Lokar' type kitsarerecommended.
Compatiblewith pretty much all Stromberg97-based intake manifolds,though some Ford Flatheadintakes need a remote fuelpump to work with cablethrottle. On the followingmanifolds, this bracket willfit with a stock fuel pump:
On allother Edelbrock andOffenhauser intakes forflathead Ford, the fuel pumpposition makes cable throttlesystems impossible unless youswitch to a remote fuel pump.On other brand intakes, werecommend you check beforepurchase.
Note: Thisbracket lifts the rearcarburetor, so on a 3x2 directlinkage the two front carbsmay need packing with extragaskets for perfect linkagealignment. On 2x2 direct or a3x2 progressive linkages, thisis not a problem. This kitdoes not require extendedintake manifold studs. And twogaskets aresupplied.
