Flasher units are designed to control the flash rate of vehicle directional indicators; this is achieved by providing regular interruption of the electric current in the indicator circuit.
There are 3 common styles of flasher units; electro-mechanical and electronic and thermal.
Tridon offers an extensive range of flasher units in load sensitive and non load sensitive types.
Thermal flashers operate by using a bi-metallic strip and contact and flash faster with increased load. Thermal flasher units do not conform to ADR13 and are only suitable for vehicles manufactured prior to 1990.
The flasher unit must be compatible with the vehicle electrical system; the Tridon flasher unit range has been carefully researched and engineered to suit each specific application.
• Not polarity sensitive - can be used on positive and negative ground vehicles.
•Suitable for flasher & hazard light applications.
•Flash rate is influenced by load variation.
•Operating Voltage 11 - 15 volts D.C.
•Also available in TF122PAC retail blister pack.
