Wilson Manifolds shearplates are designed tomaximize performance ofengines using tunnel ramstyle manifolds. Theyincorporate a 5-degree taperin the bore to improve flowand feature a specificallysized anti-reversion groovemachined into the bottom ofthe plate to help turn backreversion pulses. Theextended portions of theplate also block reverse flowand help to atomize fuel,reducing puddling in themanifold. This design helpsimprove signal to thecarburettor and flatten thefuel curve. These plates areprecision machined frombillet aluminium and areanodized purple fordurability and corrosionresistance. All shear platesmeasure 1/2 thick frommanifold mounting surface tocarb mounting surface and areavailable for 4150 carbs. aswell as 4500 and SplitDominator.
